Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP)


In line with the Skill India Mission of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) utilising the vast network and expertise of ENVIS Hubs/RPs, has taken up an initiative for skill development in the environment and forest sector to enable India's youth to get gainful employment and/or self-employment, called the Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP). The programme endeavours to develop green skilled workers having technical knowledge and commitment to sustainable development, which will help in the attainment of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), National Biodiversity Targets (NBTs), as well as Waste Management Rules (2016).

GSDP -ENVIS

In line with the Skill India Mission of Hon'ble Prime Minister, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has launched a Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP) under which different courses/ training programmes are being offered to skill enthusiasts, who are 18 years and above, as Master Trainers (MTs)/ Specialists.

Certificate Courses under GSDP for Master Trainers (MTs)/ Specialists to commence in July, 2018

(Last Date for submission of application 31st May, 2018)

Free Training will be provided in eminent institutes that are associated with MoEF&CC. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the written test / interview and joining of the training programme. As Master Trainer you will be engaged in skilling youth in diverse environment fields, thus creating India's 'Green Skilled' workforce. The course/ training programmes would be as per the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) pf NSDA, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. Certificates would be awarded to successful candidates on completion of the courses.

Criteria for Selection:
Number of candidates selected would depend on the availability of seats at Centre. The decision of the selection committee of Centre will be final. The following criteria will be taken into consideration:
• Qualification,
• Any prior experience in the field,
• Written Test followed by interview,
• Interview without written test,
• Interest in the field selected,
• Ability to communicate effectively,
• Knowledge of English – Reading/Writing/Speaking skills,
• Knowledge of any other Indian language – Reading/Writing/Speaking skills,
• Basic computer knowledge – working with word and excel spreadsheets,
• Ability of the candidate to teach – this is specific to candidates opting to be a MT.

General Conditions to apply:
• Only persons of Indian origin are eligible to apply.
• In case of number of applicants found in large numbers, a written test may be conducted. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
• Original documents with photocopies (self-attested) of educational/professional qualifications
• Application should be submitted in prescribed format
• No TA/DA will be given for appearing in the interview.
• The decision of Selection Committee of GSDP shall be final.

Instructions:
• Candidate shall bring any Identity card (Aadhaar Card, Pan Card, Passport, Ration card etc.) for proof of identity and proof of residence for the written test/interview.
• The final test of candidates could be a written exam with practical exam and viva voce, depending on the course.
• The last date of submission of application is 31st May 2018.
• Application form may be submitted directly – online through GSDP portal / GSDP Mobile App or offline through post/by-hand before 31st May, 2018. Handwritten application can also be sent.
• Application should be duly filled and signed with a latest colour passport size photograph in aforesaid mentioned Performa.
